The selection process for the ICPA Award is designed to uphold the highest standards of objectivity, transparency, and professional excellence. The evaluation is structured around a comprehensive and data-driven methodology that ensures fair and consistent assessment of all participating organizations.
1. Questionnaire-Based Assessment
A structured questionnaire has been developed to collect detailed information on the financial practices, cost management strategies, governance standards, and overall performance of participating companies. The questionnaire focuses on both qualitative and quantitative aspects of financial excellence, innovation, and ethical practice.
2. Independent Evaluation Agency
An independent and reputed credit rating agency has been engaged to design the questionnaire and carry out the evaluation process. The agency is responsible for ensuring that the data collection, analysis, and scoring are conducted with neutrality and rigor, in line with industry benchmarks.
3. Formation of Screening Committee
To maintain alignment with ICPA’s objective s and values, a Screening Committee has been constituted by the Institute. The Committee comprises experienced finance professionals and subject matter experts who provide oversight and strategic guidance to the evaluating agency.
Their role includes:
• Assisting in the formulation of evaluation policy
• Ensuring the relevance and clarity of the questionnaire
• Reviewing and endorsing the evaluation framework
4. Evaluation and Shortlisting
The evaluating agency assesses the submissions based on predefined parameters, including innovation in financial practices, leadership in cost management, sustainability of outcomes, and alignment with ethical standards. Based on these assessments, top-performing organizations are shortlisted. , the ICPA Core team will also use its own research to get further information to verify and evaluate the nominations
5. Final Review and Approval
The final list of awardees is reviewed and approved by the Screening Committee in consultation with the evaluating agency. In select cases, additional clarifications or documentation may be sought to ensure accuracy and completeness.
6. Recognition and Knowledge Sharing
Award winners are formally recognized at the ICPA Awards Ceremony. Highlights of their best practices may be shared across platforms to inspire wider adoption of excellence in financial management.
