Shri Manmohan Sachdeva is a seasoned Cost and Financial Management professional with extensive experience in the Government of India, particularly in the areas of cost accounting, financial management, public finance, budgeting, pricing, tariff matters, anti-dumping measures, currency and coinage, and food and public distribution.

He holds B.Com. and ICWA qualifications and joined the Indian Cost Accounts Service (ICoAS) in 1996. During his distinguished career, he has held several important positions, including Assistant Director, Deputy Director, Joint Director/Director, Director (Budget), Director (Currency & Coinage), Adviser (Cost), and Principal Adviser (Cost) in various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India.

He has served in the Department of Expenditure, Department of Commerce, Department of Economic Affairs, Tariff Commission, National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA), and Department of Food & Public Distribution. His responsibilities have included State finances and borrowing limits, Central Government Budget, public debt, tariff and costing studies, pricing and monitoring, anti-dumping matters, financial advice, and policy formulation.

In his capacity as Principal Adviser (Cost), Department of Food & Public Distribution, he provided professional financial and costing advice on matters concerning Food Corporation of India (FCI), Sugar and Public Distribution, including issues relating to rice, wheat and coarse grains, and contributed to policy-related matters and financial appraisal.

Currently, he is serving as Additional Chief Adviser (Cost), O/o Chief Adviser Cost (CAC), where his responsibilities include determination of fair prices, examination of claims, cost/price and financial analysis of products and services of Central Government Ministries/Departments and PSUs, as well as participation in committees concerning Cost Accounting Records, Cost Audit and Cost Audit Reports.

Shri Sachdeva has also undergone professional training in India and abroad, including programmes at NIFM Faridabad, Duke Center for International Development, USA, and the National Institute of Financial Management, Singapore. He has been recognised for overall excellence during probationer training and has contributed to professional publications, including the NPPA newsletter.
