Prof. (Dr.) Nagendra Kumar Jha is at present posted in the Department of Applied Economics and Commerce, P.U., Patna as Head and Director. He has served Patna University as a Dean Students welfare (DSW), Finance officer & Financial Advisor.
He was the Principal at Vanijya Mahavidyalaya, Patna University, Patna and Dean, Faculty of Commerce, Patna. He was the Director Research & Development Cell of Patna University which was constituted first time as
per the guidelines of UGC in the State of Bihar.
He was the Registrar Patliputra University,Patna. Presently, he is the Joint Secretary of Indian Commerce Association also. He has written 13 books and self learning material for distance learners of Nalanda University and Patna
University.
He has written more than 55 research papers which have been published in reputed
Journals of National and International importance. He has participated in more than 110 National
and International Seminar/ Conferences / Workshops organized by different institutions in the
different parts of the Country. He has produced eight Ph.Ds under his supervision and guided
more than 300 research projects of IGNOU, NOU, P.U., IMT Ghaziabadh and Others. He has
awarded more than 60 Ph.Ds degrees in different Universities of the Country. He contributed as
Key note Speaker, Chairperson and Co-chairperson of different technical sessions in more than
30 National and International Seminar / Conferences in the different parts of the country. He is
the life member of different academic bodies such as Indian Commerce Association, Indian
Economic Association, Indian Institute of Public Administration, AIMs International, BEA etc.
He has been the regular participant in the panel discussion organized by Patna Durdarshan on
different issues of National and International impotence from time to time. He is the expert
member in the board of courses and studies of different Universities and autonomous institutions
such as P.U., NOU, LNMU, PWC, etc. He is the representative member of the chancellor of
Bihar and U.P. in selection committee for deferent Universities. He is the chief editor of multi
disciplinary academic journal (Aatm Manthan) and is the member of Editorial Board of different
Research Journals as published by different academic institutions. He has been closely associated
with the institute of Chartered Accountants, ICWA, ICS in different capacities. He has been the
member of academic council, Senate and Syndicate of Patna University and other research
council of the different Universities of Bihar and outside.
